Edward Beale was born and bred in London. He trained at Camberwell School of Arts and The Royal Academy. He works from his Lambeth Studio’s, which are only a few streets away from where he was born and he is widely known for his paintings of locations close to his studio and along the Thames from Millbank to the Royal Docks. He tends to compose his paintings in locations and responds to his surroundings, creating paintings which are full of power, energy and rhythmic movement. He studied art at The Camberwell School of Arts and the Royal Academy where he was awarded the David Murray Travelling Prize and Edwin Landseer Prize. His paintings are widely collected as far afield as The USA, China, India and France and through major London, regional and French Galleries.
